ROCHELLE RICE CHORAL WORKSHOP

The Southern Maryland Youth Orchestra and Chorus (SMYOC) was thrilled to have been a part of the Music from Poplar Hill concert series in the fall of 2020. Our youth musicians benefited enormously, both from the opportunity to listen to the outstanding and inspirational performances of the three accomplished guest artists and their ability to work directly with Rochelle Rice in an intensive workshop setting. It is events like these - few and far between in Southern Maryland, as we all know – that grow the young musician in important new ways, helping develop technical skills while renewing, or setting in motion, a dedication to and passion for the musical arts. - Susan Bisson Lambert, Executive Director of SMYOC
